Who we are
Lockdin is booking software for barbershops and tattoo studios, run by Fluent. A shop uses Lockdin to take appointments from its clients. Questions go to [email protected].
What we collect about shop owners and staff
Name, email address, role, last sign-in time, and any profile details you add, such as a photo, a bio, a phone number and an Instagram handle. Barbers and artists can add portfolio photos.
Sign-in details: a password, kept only in hashed form, and optional two-step sign-in settings, including the phone number used to receive codes.
What we collect about clients
A client's name and phone number when they book, their appointment history with the shop, their attendance record (whether they came, no-shows, cancellations and whether they opted out of texts), and free-text notes the shop chooses to keep.
The text of messages sent to a client and the replies they send back, such as STOP, along with whether each was sent or received and its delivery status.
Card details and fees
Cards are entered on a page hosted by Stripe. The card number never reaches Lockdin. We keep a Stripe reference, the card brand and the last 4 digits. If the shop requires a card, the shop decides whether to charge the saved card a no-show or late-cancellation fee, and how much, and we keep the status of any charge.
SMS consent
Shop clients: by booking an appointment, you agree to receive appointment texts from the shop's number. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
Shop owners: you receive verification codes and account texts from Lockdin's number.
Who else handles your information
Stripe receives card and billing details to take payments and hold cards on file.
Telnyx receives phone numbers and message text to send appointment texts and verification codes.
Google Places receives the shop name and city you enter to look up the shop's public listing.
Anthropic receives the shop's photos, description and listing to build and edit the shop's page with the page assistant.
Cloudflare receives your IP address and browser details to check that a person is signing up (Turnstile) and to carry traffic to the site.
Apple and Google receive a device token to deliver push notifications from the app.
Tracking and sale of data
We do not show ads, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
We keep your information until you or the shop ask us to delete it. If a shop is paused for a failed payment, we keep its data for 90 days so it can reactivate.
Deleting your data
To have your information deleted, contact the shop or write to [email protected].
